Love Bomb is a thoughtful play about the serious subject of coercive control and the sex trafficking of youth in Canada. The show is appropriate for teenage and adult audiences.

Playwright Meghan Gardiner and composer Steve Charles have managed to weave thought-provoking insights through theatre and song to address this important, painful topic. Ten original songs are played live on electric & acoustic guitars during the one hour play.

The fictional story follows a mother in search of her missing teenaged daughter through music and dialogue. A series of songs recorded by a new YouTube star reveal pieces of the puzzle of her daughter’s disappearance.

Due to the sensitive topic covered in the play, the presentation includes a talk-back session at the end of the show with the company and a professional in the field.

Love Bomb has been presented in the western provinces over the past eight years to grateful feedback from schools, parents, and subject-matter experts.

This 2023 National tour directed by Renee Iaci features powerful performances by hussy newcomer Melissa Kahan and company ensemble member Daune Campbel.
