The Jessie Richardson Awards
2003 saw two more Jessie nominations for shamelesshussy. One to Renée Iaci for "Outstanding Actress" in Daniel McIvor's Marion Bridge and another Jessie nod to Lana Krause for her "Costume Design" in the same show.
2002 Deb Pickman receives a Jessie Richardson Award nomination for "Outstanding Performance", it was for her role in Green Thumb Theatre’s touring production of One In A Million.
In 1999 shameless hussy productions again received two nominations for Jessie Richardson Awards. Tom Jones was nominated for "Best Actor" in the show he helped to create Bonnie Dangerously; fast times with that guy Clyde. Congratulations go to all our artistic partners for the nomination of Bonnie Dangerously as "Best Overall Production" in the "Theatre Festival" category.
In 1998 shameless hussy productions received two nominations for the prestigious Jessie Richardson Awards. Sarah Rogers was nominated for "Outstanding Direction" of the highly provocative Bedtime Stories for Amazons. Deb Pickman received a nomination for "Outstanding Performance" in the same production. Both nominations were in the newly created (and subsequently revoked) "Theater Festival" category.
The Vancouver Sun People's Choice Award
Resident artistic associate Deb Pickman is the recipient of the 1999 Vancouver Sun People's Choice Award~ "Best Actress" for her performance in the hussies production of My Left Breast by Susan Miller.
VanFest '98
1997 was our second year participating in the Vancouver School Board's career preparation program at Templeton High School in East Vancouver. As guest directors, Renée Iaci and Deb Pickman took a group of talented teens to compete with their peers at VanFest '98. Our production of Skin by Dennis Foon came away with 16 awards including "Outstanding Achievement in Directing" and "Outstanding Production". We were selected to represent the lower mainland at the provincial level in Prince George.
Yvonne Ferkins Award
Resident artistic associate Renée Iaci is the recipient of the 1992 Yvonne Ferkins Award from the Arts Club Theatre for excellence in directing.
Volunteer Vancouver
Resident artistic associate Renée Iaci is the recipient of the 1995 "Volunteer Vancouver" Award, given by the City of Vancouver.
